Hi. I’m Casey. I’m a staff reporter for Seattle Weekly.

I grew up on the east coast near Washington D.C. After high school I traveled around the US and Canada and completed Americorps NCCC.  From 2006-2010 I earned a BA in philosophy and literature at The Evergreen State College. Along the way I hiked the Way of St. James, rowed, and cared for developmentally-disabled adults. From 2010-2011 I served in Peace Corps Philippines.

I have written for Seattle Met magazine and PubliCola, the Capitol Hill TimesCapitol Hill Seattle, Policy Mic, and Salon. From 2013-2015 I tutored in writing and humanities at Seattle Central Community College. During 2013-14 I served as Editor in Chief of the college’s student magazine, the Central Circuit.

This blog is primarily a platform for my writing. Unfortunately, I haven’t been good about keeping it updated recently; find my newer stuff here and here. You can also view my resume (PDF) or contact me.
